On March 29, 2023, the SBLA Washington, D.C. Chapter hosted a group of young men from the oldest African American hockey league in the United States. This was the first SBLA event in Washington, D.C. since the beginning of the Covid-19 Pandemic.

On December 18, 2022, the SBLA gave away $10,000 worth of gift cards ($2,400 Target - $3,800 Walmart - $3,800 Winn-Dixie) to total strangers in Tampa Bay. We were a random and spontaneous blessing in dozens of peoples’ lives! #SBLADayofMiracles
July 10, 2022 Surf Camp
On July 10, 2022, the SBLA hosted 75 children to free surf lessons and a surf camp with free food, drinks, and prizes.
June 25, 2022 Tampa Bay Rays Game
On June 25, 2022, the SBLA hosted a group of underprivileged children from Grace Family Church to a Tampa Bay Rays game. We enjoyed the game (a walk off win for the Rays!) in a suite and every kid got free food, drinks, and Rays gear.
March 2022 Aspen Skiing Experience
This March, the SBLA co-hosted Aspen Ski Day with Glenwood Springs Elementary at Aspen’s Buttermilk Ski Resort. Fifty-six third graders had the opportunity to partake in ski and snowboard lessons.
