January 2016 Aspen Ski Trip

The SBLA continues to fulfill its charitable mission by providing children less fortunate in our communities with the resources to engage in unique team-building experiences. The SBLA partnered with the Aspen Skiing Company to send a third grade class of kids from Glenwood Elementary School to a skiing camp in Aspen, Colorado. The majority of the kids are first generation Americans who speak English as a second language. Through generous donations from the SBLA’s members, we were able to pay for equipment rentals and hire a Spanish translator to accompany the kids during ski school.
